Cookie Policy

Aquil uses only strictly necessary cookies. We do not use analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies on our website or in the Service. This Cookie Policy explains exactly which cookies we set, why, and how long they last, in line with the EU ePrivacy rules, the Swedish Law on Electronic Communications (LEK 6 kap. 18 §) and the GDPR.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are used to keep you signed in, remember preferences such as your language, and keep the service secure. Similar technologies (such as local storage) are treated the same way for the purposes of this policy.

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the Service to function. They enable authentication, session management, CSRF protection and basic security. Under EU ePrivacy rules they are exempt from the consent requirement because they are strictly necessary to provide the service you have asked for. Without them, core features would not work.

Language preference

We store your chosen language (Swedish or English) in a cookie so the site remembers your selection between visits. This is also classified as strictly necessary because it is set only when you actively pick a language and is required to deliver the service in the language you asked for.

No analytics, advertising or tracking

Aquil does not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, or any other third-party analytics or advertising cookies. We do not share data with ad networks. Our usage telemetry is collected on Sokigo's own infrastructure from server-side logs and never via browser tracking cookies. Because we do not set any optional cookies, there is nothing for you to opt into or out of — but we still show a brief informational notice on first visit so you know what we do and don't do.

Payments — Stripe hosted Checkout

When you subscribe to a paid Aquil plan, we redirect you to Stripe's hosted Checkout at stripe.com to complete the payment securely. Once there, Stripe's own cookie notice and privacy policy apply. Stripe sets cookies on the stripe.com domain for session management and fraud prevention (Stripe Radar). Stripe JavaScript is not embedded on aquil.se, so Stripe does not set cookies on our domain. When Stripe returns you to Aquil after payment, only our strictly necessary cookies listed below are in play.

Managing cookies

Because Aquil only sets strictly necessary cookies, there is no separate opt-out — blocking them would prevent you from signing in or using the Service. If Aquil ever introduces optional cookies in the future, we will update this policy and add a granular consent mechanism before any such cookie is set.

Browser settings

You can always view, block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that blocking or deleting the strictly necessary cookies listed below will prevent you from signing in and using parts of the Service.

Updates to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The effective date is shown at the bottom of the page. If we introduce any new cookie category (for example analytics), we will update this policy and present a new consent prompt before doing so.
